SPJ chapter members interested in running for one of the four open seats on the board of directors must declare their intent to run by this Friday, April 24 at 5 p.m. and provide bios of 200 words or less by Friday, May 1. Ballots will be mailed to all SPJ-SD chapter members in mid-May.

SPJ-SD board members serve two-year terms. The board meets monthly to plan the chapter’s programs and events, including coordinating the annual journalism contest and awards banquet. All SPJ-SD chapter members are eligible to run for the board – your national and chapter membership must be current.
