The SPJ San Diego Pro Chapter is seeking candidates for its board of directors – a board chock full of hard-working, fun-loving and always-entertaining local journalists.
Do you have great ideas for fun, educational and career-enhancing programs for local journalists? Want to get to know more of your colleagues in the San Diego journalism community? Just want to impress your boss with the prestige of serving on the SPJ San Diego board?
If you’re interested in running for a seat on the SPJ-San Diego board of directors, let us know. Candidates must declare their intent to run by Friday, April 20 at 5 p.m. and provide bios of 200 words or less by Friday, April 27. Ballots will be mailed to all SPJ-SD chapter members in mid-May.
SPJ-SD board members serve two-year terms. The board meets monthly to plan the chapter’s programs and events, including coordinating the annual journalism contest and awards banquet.
