Former WashingtonPost.com editor to speak at SPJ Awards Banquet

Former WashingtonPost.com executive editor Jim Brady will deliver the keynote speech at the SPJ San Diego Pro Chapter’s annual awards banquet Thursday, June 25 at the Bali Hai.

Brady, who stepped down from The Post in January and now works as a media consultant, will talk about the digital media landscape, the state of the media industry, and how he went from part-time sports writer to the team that launched The Post online to AOL and back to the top spot at http://www.washingtonpost.com all before turning 40. Since leaving The Post, Brady has spent the summer driving cross-country with his photographer-wife and two beagles, blogging daily about their travels, their meals, and the shenanigans of Fred and Hank.
